The CG-animated adventure show, titled Tetris: World Builders, was unveiled at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival to introduce STEAM-inspired problem-solving to young audiences.

French studio TeamTO and The Tetris Company announced a corporate partnership to develop Tetris™: World Builders, a new computer-generated (CG) animated adventure series aimed at children aged six and older. The project framework was officially presented during TeamTO’s "Come Fly with TeamTO" Studio Focus session at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The upcoming television project consists of 52 eleven-minute episodes, marking the first time human child characters will be integrated directly into the brand's universe.

The series is currently in early development and was created by TeamTO executives Marco Balsamo (President/CEO and Producer) and Tara Sibel Demren (COO and Producer). The production team also features veteran executive producer Chuck Williams, recognized for his previous work on prominent multimedia video game adaptations, including the Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise. The narrative translates the traditional geometric mechanics of the falling blocks into a dynamic setting centered around engineering, creativity, and structural discovery.

The plot follows a team of young characters known as "World Builders" or "Scouts" who must respond to mysterious, massive Tetrimino blocks falling from the sky. To help their society adapt and evolve, the characters utilize collaboration and STEAM-based thinking (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) to transform structural challenges into community developments. This creative shift aims to replace abstract arcade logic with character-driven, cinematic storytelling that highlights the philosophical concept of assembling disparate pieces to build something cohesive.

The television expansion arrives as the Tetris brand continues to diversify its commercial portfolio across film, fashion, music, and digital gaming. Maya Rogers, President and CEO of The Tetris Company, noted that the project builds upon the brand's legacy by translating the universal puzzle mechanics into an imaginative narrative format designed to inspire a new generation of viewers. For TeamTO, the joint venture aligns with a corporate strategy focused on pairing globally established intellectual properties with internal, creator-led production pipelines.
